Alright so the owner of the studio that I have my jewelry selling downtown at said that my copper trees of life have been going fast lately. So I decided to play with that notion, I made another tree of life necklace, then I made a cuff bracelet and another pair of earrings. :) On a side note some of his stuff was stolen last night and maybe a couple of my rings. o.O I guess take the good with the bad.
So it seems I've been a little lax lately in my production of jewelry and coming up with things that are new and exciting! I've been sick, I have a lot of stress on my plate right now and I just NEED sales. Y'all aren't just my customers, you're very dear acquaintances or I daresay even friends. I want y'all to enjoy what you see and feel compelled to want to share it with the world. Grandiose, maybe... I found something I'm good at. I have things I'm okay at, things I'm terrible at and things that are just mediocre. THIS, I'm good at, maybe even great. So, it disheartens me that I try so hard and thanks to Facebook and their damned algorithms most of y'all can't see what I post. It's so frustrating and downright discouraging :/ Either way though, I'm going to keep going 'cause it's all I can do. I can't stop, stopping isn't an option, but I may have to get a (gasp) job... (If I'm lucky enough to find one that'll hire me) to supplement what I haven't been able to make this year due to dwindling sales. I hope y 'all understand. Anywho.... These pair of earrings were inspired by a post I'd seen on Pinterest. I hope ya'll like them. Have a great day.
Okay, so we had a REALLY windy day yesterday and these were inspired by that. I seen the limbs on the trees dancing around with the cherry and apple blossoms on them and this is what it reminded me of. So, these are my whimsical wind spiral earrings!
So, yesterday I made an arch angel Michael cabochon and wrapped it into a pendant. I was a little irritated because the person I got the digital sheet from had marked it as 25MM or 1" when in all actuality it was 1 ½ inch. So I decided to look up the aspect ratio from inch to pixels. ^_^ Needless to say, now I have to find some good quality images to print. This is completely awesome for me because it means I not only have more creative freedom, but I also don't have to be as restricted by lack of materials - well, except ink.
Looks like my dry spell is starting to end. ^_^ What a relief. Here's a few things I've made lately.
This is my project for today, it's a custom piece for a client of mine. It's a purple druzy agate wrapped in silver.
So today, I did way too much packing for one person. Laundry, packing, cleaning, laundry, packing, and repeat. :/ So mind numbing! So I decided when I went to get my hubby from work that I was going to make something, first it was going to be a pendant, and I started the project with every intention of it being a pendant. Then I went to the studio where I have my jewelry at downtown and he said I needed more copper bracelets. So, a pendant, turned into a bracelet. LOL... Whatever works I suppose. Here it is.
So the last few days I haven't really posted anything. I've been so focused on making sales to keep my family fed that I haven't really thought of anything else. don't get me wrong, I still need sales and bad, but Wednesday is payday so it's not AS dire.
Speaking of dire, I'm sure you've noticed the title, Wolves and cages. I've made three things in the last few days, and you'll know this if you actually are able to see my posts on Facebook. I made a wire wrapped caged crystal, a wire wrapped wolf pendant, and a gemstone cage pendant. All pictured below. :)
I have an announcement as well. Wednesday evening, Thursday and until Friday evening I'll be gone. I'll be accompanying my husband to his training for work. I will have my tablet, and I'll probably bring my laptop as well. But those don't have the same capability as my desktop computer, so I'll do my best to answer any questions, or fill any orders as quickly as possible. I'll be taking my tools and wire and whatnot so I'll be prepared. :D That's if my kids will let me. ;) My two youngest will be with me as well.
So as y'all know, I've been selling my stuff downtown for a while now. (Since August) It's been a little choppy and there has definitely been a dead season there. But, all and all it's nice to say that I have my jewelry selling downtown in a studio. :) Make's me proud of myself. If y'all are local and want to see what's available the stuff is down at the Landing mall and is at Randolf Frederick Co.
